Ilias family waiting for his safe return
Wednesday, 16 April 2014
Even though BNP organising secretary M Ilias Ali has been traceless for the last two years, his family members and party colleagues are still hopeful of his safe return.
Two years back on April 17, 2012, former BNP MP Ilias has reportedly been made disappeared along with his car driver Ansar Ali from the capital’s Banani area on April 17, 2012, but it is still not clear whether he is dead or alive. No progress of the investigation by the law enforcers is also in sight to unearth the mystery over the BNP leader’s disappearance.
BNP has been claiming since he went missing that the law enforcers at the behest of the government made Ilias disappeared, an allegation vehemently rejected by the government.
“Apart from journalists, people of different walks of life, want to know from me about Ilias. I don’t have any answer. What can I say? I’m just waiting for his safe return,” the missing BNP leader’s wife, Tahsina Rushdir Luna, told UNB.
Meanwhile, BNP will hold a meeting in the city Thursday demanding that their missing leader Ilias Ali be traced.
