Illegal bottled water firm fined in city

A mobile court in the city fined a bottled water company Tk 30,000 Sunday for illegally manufacturing, selling and distributing the water product.
The firm-- F.M. Drinking Water-- at Aga Sadek Lane of Bangshal in the city was also sealed off as it was doing the business without taking licence from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), said a news release.
The mobile court, led by executive magistrate Mahbub Jamil and BSTI field officer Md Abdul Matin, was conducted in the city under the initiative of BSTI, Dhaka district administration and police.
