Illegal govt to be ousted thru’ movement: BNP

Saturday, 8 February 2014

Claiming that the government’s public support has hit the zero level, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the current ‘illegal’ regime will be ousted through a mass movement.
He also said the present government came to power through the January 5 farcical election. It’s an illegal and unconstitutional administration having no public support.
The BNP spokesman also warned that this ‘unpopular’ government cannot stay in office for a long time. “Their fall is certain.”
Fakhrul came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after placing wreaths at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city with BNP chairperson’s adviser Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, and BNP chairperson’s special assistant Shimul Biswas marking the recent release of the trio from jail on bail Saturday, according to a news agency.
