ILO holds meeting on Industry Skill Council in Ctg

A meeting for Industry Skill Council (ISC) was held at a local hotel in Chttagong recently in association with TVET Reform Project, a government project on skills reform initiatives which is funded by European Commission and implemented by International Labor Organization (ILO).
The project is working on skills development through reform initiatives in the existing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in Bangladesh simultaneously trying to build a workplace learning culture and enhancing productivity in priority sectors.
The meeting was presided over by the Mr. Sakhawat Hossain, Chairman, ISC, Transport Equipment- shipbuilding sector. Mr. Hossain is also the Managing Director of Western Marine Shipyard Ltd in Chittagong. Representatives from 18 Shipbuilding Company and Marine Workshops participated in the meeting.
