I\\\'m not here to criticise ICTs: Rapp

The visiting US Ambassador at-Large for War Crimes Issues Stephen J Rapp has said that he is not here to criticise the International Crimes Tribunals (ICTs) as he wants to see the tribunals as a role model in the international arena. Rapp, head of the Office of Global Criminal Justice, made the remark during a meeting with Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka on Tuesday. On Israeli aggression on Gaza, Rapp the United States is working for ceasefire and expressed concern over attacks on a UN school. Rapp said all should strictly follow the International Humanitarian Laws and the US supports and expects fair investigation into incidents occurred in Gaza. Expressing his experience of visiting the Liberation War Museum, he said the Museum is playing a role to uphold the history of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. Mahmood Ali said mass people have tremendous support for the trial of war criminals and thanked the US government for supporting it, according to UNB.
