Images of JP MPs suffer badly: Firoz Rashid
Tuesday, 8 April 2014
Jatiya Party (JP) MP Kazi Firoz Rashid on Tuesday said his party is not seen as a real opposition in the parliament. Standing on point of order in the House he expressed his dismay after no one from JP has been picked up as chairman of the recently formed parliamentary standing committees. “It is very shocking,” he said. As the Jatiya Party is not treated as a real opposition, the party fared poorly in the recently held upazila elections, though the upazila system was introduced by its leader HM Ershad, he added. The images of Jatiya Party MPs have suffered badly before the party’s leaders and activists, he said, according to a news agency.
