IMCB elects MS Haque chairman, NW Alam president

Prof M Shamsul Haque and N Wazirul Alam have been elected chairman and president respectively of the Institute of Management Consultants Bangladesh (IMCB), the national association of the country's management consultants.
They were elected in IMCB's annual general meeting (AGM), held in the city recently.
M Shamsul Haque obtained his MBA from Indiana University at Bloomington of the US, and PhD from MBS at Manchester of the UK. He has been engaged in teaching and research for over four decades, and has worked as consultant for many international and national bodies. He is currently the vice-chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh.
On the other hand, Wazirul Alam obtained his MBA from IBA of Dhaka University. He worked for British American Tobacco for over about two decades in Bangladesh, the UK and Finland. Until closing of American Express in Bangladesh, he was the country manager, TRS Bangladesh.
He has worked in the fields of marketing, quality management, system development relating to ISO 9000 standard, HACCP, EMS and Arsenic mitigation. Currently Alam is the executive vice-president of Quality Institute of America and the country director of Tetrahedron Inc of USA.
The other elected office bearers of IMCB are First Vice-President Abdur Rab, pro-vice-chancellor of Eastern University, Second Vice-President M Manzurul Haque, chairman and MD of Org-Quest Research, and Treasurer Naba Krishna Muni.
