IMF plans regional office in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Oct 02 (Arab News): The International Monetary Fund is considering opening a regional office in Saudi Arabia as both parties prepare to sign a memorandum of understanding in this regard on Oct. 3 in Riyadh.
The MoU, to be signed between the Saudi Arabian ministry of finance and the IMF, will be followed by a joint press conference at Ritz Carlton in Riyadh, a ministry release said.
Today, I met the @KGeorgieva MD of @IMFnews, and discussed with her areas of cooperation between the Kingdom and the IMF including capacity development and the establishment of a regional office for IMF in Riyadh.
