Implementation of cost audit emphasised

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mohammed Salim, FCMA called on Hedayetullah Al Mamoon, ndc, Senior Secretary,  Ministry of Commerce at his office Tuesday.
ICMAB President updated the Senior Secretary about the overall affairs of the Institute and the progress of the ongoing activities. The prospects of strategic alliance with CIMA, UK were also explained with due importance, said a statement.
During the discussion, ICMAB president also emphasized the need for implementing cost audit to ensure fair price of commodities & services for proper utilisation of country's scarce resources.
The Senior Secretary was apprised by the President about the overall affairs of the Institute and salient aspect of ongoing initiatives.
The Senior Secretary for Commerce assured the ICMAB President and the members of the delegation of his continued support for the betterment of the CMA profession in the continuously changing global environment.
Muzaffar Ahmed, FCMA, M. Abul Kalam Mazumdar, FCMA, Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed FCMA, Council Member and Past Presidents, Additional Secretary Ministry of Commerce and Council Member of ICMAB Md.Shawkat Ali Waresi and Lt. Col. Md Humayun Kabir psc (Rtd.) Director of the Institute were present on the occasion.
