Implementation of WHO programmes in BD lauded

Newly-appointed World Health Organisation (WHO) Representative in Bangladesh Dr Navaratnasamy Paranietharan on Monday appreciated Bangladesh government’s “strong leadership” in implementing WHO programmes. The WHO’s support in Bangladesh’s health sector would continue in future the way it has been supporting Bangladesh since the last 40 years, Dr Paranietharan assured this when he met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the latter’s office to present his credentials, according to a news agency.
