Implementation of ‘.bd’ domain stressed

Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu at the first Commonwealth Domain Name System Forum-2014 conference in London has emphasised the development of Country Code Top Level Domains (ccTLDs) for each country. The minister said this while presiding over a session on `Investment and Innovation in Domain Name System’ on the first day of the two-day conference on Thursday at London Hilton Metropole Hotel, said a media release on Saturday. Inu stressed the implementation of .bd (DOT BD) domain for Bangladesh, as he said it would enhance the security of the country’s web portals and will encourage the internet-based organisations of Bangladesh for their capacity building, according to a news agency.
