Import, export resume at Hili Land Port

RANGPUR, Oct 11 (BSS): Normal import and export activities resumed from today through the Hili Land Port (HLP) under Hakimpur Upazila in Dinajpur after long vacations since September 30, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja.
According to the sources in Customs, Importers, Clearing and Forwarding Agents' Association (C&FAA) at HLP, all sorts of import-export activities remained suspended through the land port from September 30 to October 10 during the vacation.
General Secretary of C&FAA of HLP Abdur Rahman Litan told the news agency this afternoon that imports, exports, customs clearance, loading and unloading of the goods resumed from today after expiry of the vacation on Friday.
However, movements of the passport and visa holders of Bangladesh and Indian nationals remained normal through the immigration check post at the HLP during the vacation period despite closure of import and export activities there, he added.
