Importance of int'l trade fairs emphasised

CHITTAGONG, March 05: In this age of globalisation, arrangement of international trade fairs is very important in the context of Bangladesh. A trade fair plays a vital role in expanding trade and commerce, industrialisation and particularly export markets.
Export Promotion Bureau's (EPB) Chittagong Regional Director Md Golam Mostafa said this while presiding over a seminar titled "International Trade Fair: Participation, Selection and Effectiveness" sponsored by EPB Chittagong under 'National Export Training Programme' 2007 at Chittagong Chamber auditorium Tuesday.
Golam Mostafa said, progress in trade and commerce, establishment of more mills and factories, enhancing the volume of trade and product diversification are very helpful for economic prosperity of the country.
Pointing out the ample opportunity for the local manufacturers for displaying their products to the foreign buyers in an enhanced manner through the ongoing Chittagong International Trade Fair (CITF), he said, it would also immensely help the local entrepreneurs to evaluate the qualitative standard of their manufactured goods and exhibit the same to foreign buyers in a time befitting manner.
