Importance of quality education emphasised

GAIBANDHA, Mar 15 (BSS): Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah has underlined the importance of ensuring quality education to make students as worthy citizens of the county to build an enlightened nation.
"Primary education is the foundation of all education, the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is giving emphasis to overall development in this sector to attain the development goal," he said.
Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah said this while addressing the centennial function of the Udakhali Model Government Primary School under Fulchhari upazila as the chief guest and chief executive officer of Zila Parishad Kallol Kumar Chakravartee and UNO Mostafizur Rahman were present as special guests.
With president of school managing committee M. Ranju Miah in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by upazila primary education officer Abu Bakar Siddique, local union parishad chairman Abdul Baki Sarker and head teacher Aynal Haque.
The Deputy Speaker asked the teachers to be more dedicated, professional and honest to turn their institutions into a knowledge acquiring centres for producing brilliant students.
Advocate Rabbi also urged the guardians to send their children to schools to receive good education to lead the country towards development making the best use of their merit and talent.
He also assured of taking all necessary measures for infrastructural and academic development of the school.
A large number of people including students, teachers, guardians and local elite were present on the occasion.
