Imported wheat crisis

Recently enough noise has been generated about the wheat imported from Brazil. It was alleged that imported Brazilian wheat was not fit for human consumption. The matter went to the court when our judiciary acted on its own.  Unfortunately, it appears that we are becoming increasingly dependent on court rulings on very insignificant affairs of our life and wheat import is one of them. I do believe that samples of Brazilian wheat crushed in our local mills and distributed across the country cannot be taken back and returned to people who imported it. Correct sampling therefore is essential as per ISO or similar standards and choosing samples haphazardly is not right.
We are already aware of the gold medals awarded to foreign nationals for their contribution to our liberation war of 1971. The gold medals contained copper instead of gold that tainted our image abroad beyond repair. In the interest of accountability and good governance embodying zero tolerance, people responsible for such unpardonable offences must be punished. As ordinary citizens, it is difficult for us to conceive of an incident like this. Similarly, I see no reason why wheat and rice are imported from India when we are self sufficient in food according to statements often made by the government.
