Imran H Sarker, one of the bloggers who initiated a movement through a Facebook call demanding death to all war criminals, cannot open his account on the social networking website. ‘Whenever I’m trying to log in to the account, it is being said that the account is disabled,’ said Sarker, the spokesperson for a faction of Ganajagaran Mancha, which is agitating for capital punishment to those committed war crimes 43 years ago. He said: ‘The matter seems mysterious to me. This incident happened at a time when we’re agitating for ensuring punishment to those being tried for the 1971 war crimes. Sarker suspects the account has been blocked somehow; it ‘has not been hacked’. ‘Several pages including Ganajagaran Mancha’s official Facebook account, wherefrom different announcements about the current movement are made, would be controlled by this account. We are thinking if this is being done to foil the movement,’ Sarker added, according to bdnews24.com.
