In search of peace

Friday, 20 March 2015

It is indeed frustrating that despite having passed two and half months through turmoil and anarchy, no sign of reconciliation between the ruling party and the opposition is in sight. Lives of the common people are in danger. The entire nation is suffering. Companies are closing down their business as they can no longer continue to bear losses. Many people will be unemployed if companies continue to shut down like this and the banks will be in dire straits as they have invested millions in businesses, small or big.
Apparently everything is normal, but the common people are living their life in uncertainty and fear. The opposition should immediately call off their indefinite strike and blockade for sometime so that the ruling party comes under pressure for dialogue and reconciliation from all quarters. The ruling party should also immediately stop harassing the leaders and activists of the opposition and find out missing leader Salahuddin so that an environment of trust is restored between the government and the opposition. I still hope that good sense shall prevail and our leaders will stop playing politics of hatred and vengeance and bring back peace in the country.
