Include dropped indigenous candidates in BCS results: HC
Tuesday, 11 February 2014
Responding to a public interest litigation (PIL) writ petition, the High Court Tuesday asked the Public Service Commission (PSC) to republish the 34th BCS preliminary test results, including the 280 indigenous candidates dropped from the revised results.
An HC division bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed passed the order while disposing of its rule upon a writ petition.
Among others, the Ministry of Public Administration, the Education Secretary and the Controller of Examinations of PSC will have to comply with the HC order.
Fifty-nine indigenous candidates filed the writ petition challenging the validity of PSC’s decision to leave out their names from the revised results, according to a news agency.
