Increasing power generation

Thursday, 21 February 2019

Bangladesh's economic growth is gaining momentum and in the coming days, more energy and power will be required to sustain the economic growth rate. This is why preparations will be required.
The per capita energy consumption in Bangladesh is one of the lowest if we compare it with other developing countries. This needs to change. Only 77 per cent of the country's population have access to electricity. The rest of the people should get electric connections in their households as well. If power generation from existing power plants can be improved, then the economy will get a boost.
The government should initiate action plans that will ensure electric connections to all parts of Bangladesh.
