Indefinite bus strike in 3 dists

Transport workers enforced bus strike for an indefinite period on all routes of Thakurgaon, Panchagarh and Dinajpur districts from Tuesday demanding a ban on plying of illegal shallow engine-run vehicles on the highways of the districts. Nine associations, including Bus Owners’ Association, Transport Workers’ Union and Truck-Lorry Workers’ Union of the three districts jointly called the strike. They called the strike at a joint meeting on Monday evening, according to a news agency.
