Indenters hold 28th AGM

Bangladesh Indenting Agents' Association (BIAA) held its 28th annual general meeting (AGM) at a city hotel Saturday, said a press release.
President of the association Shabbir Ahmed Khan presided over and Secretary Mohammad Ali Sattar conducted the meeting.
In his speech, BIAA president focused on the activities of BIAA during the 1st year of the present board of directors, which assumed office in January 2009.
He said activities of BIAA included meeting with commercial counselors and other diplomats of foreign missions in the country, meeting with finance minister, commerce minister, state minister for law to discuss with them various issues of the indenters; mainly withdrawal of re-imposed 15 per cent VAT on indenting commission.
