Indenting firms urged to be united under BIAA

Bangladesh Indenting Agents Association (BIAA) President Obaidur Rahman urged all firms and companies involved in indenting business to unite themselves under the banner of BIAA.
The BIAA president was addressing a meeting at a hotel in the port city recently with the representatives of member firms of Chittagong zone. He said BIAA had been making concerted efforts to overcome problems of indenting business.
Various problems of the indenting agents were identified and proposals/suggestions were made for remedial measures.
Obaidur Rahman clarified points raised by indentors and assured them of taking steps to solve problems being faced by them. A number of representatives of member firms participated in the discussion and ventilated their grievances.
They said the present stringent controlling practice adopted by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) needs to be relaxed for conducting their business in a smooth way.
Founder President of BIAA AHM Karam Ali also addressed the meeting. He underscored the need for conducting indenting business under the guidance of the BB and constant advice of the BIAA.
BIAA senior vice president gave vote of thanks to the representatives of the member firms in the meeting.
