Independence festival begins in Pabna

PABNA, Mar 11: A 10-day long Independence festival began in Pabna town hall premises Monday. The programme was organised by Muktijoddha Sangsad.
The freedom fighters brought out a procession carrying Moshal (torch) from the town hall premise which paraded through the main streets of the district headquarter. Commander of Pabna Muktijoddha Sangsad Habibur Rahman inaugurated the festival.  
He said, "We hand over the Moshal to the young generation. Freedom fighters are growing old so the young generation should keep the spirit of freedom fight for the development of the nation."
