Independent Editor\\\'s father dead

Mahbubur Rahman, a retired government official, died of old age complications at a hospital in the city Tuesday. He was 85.
Rahman, who went on retirement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992, left behind two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
His youngest son M Shamsur Rahman is the Editor of The Independent, and editor-in-chief and CEO of Independent Television.
Rahman was buried after namaj-e-janaza at his village home at Chatkhil upazila in Noakhali district Wednesday. Press release
