Independent pay scale for varsity teachers demanded

Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA) has demanded an independent pay scale and increasing the retirement age limit for public university teachers to 67 years from existing 65. The demands were made at a meeting of the FBUTA held at the auditorium of Dhaka University’s Social Science Department. It was also decided at the meeting that human chains will formed at all public universities on July 6 at 11am to press for the demands, according to a news agency.
