India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in a rain-reduced first match of the three-ODI series against Bangladesh Sunday.
Rain forced India’s innings cut to 26 overs and the target reset at 150 in Duckworth/Lewis method after Bangladesh posted modest 272 for nine.
The visitors surpassed the revised target with seven balls to spare.
Ajinkya Rahane topscored with a 70-ball 64 before being the last man out, caught by Ziaur Rahman at short third man after trying to hit Mashrafe Mortaza over extra cover, according to a news agency.
