India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the opening match of the Super-10 round in the World Twenty20 in Dhaka Friday. India, who elected to field in the Group Two match, restricted Pakistan to 130-7 with leg-spinner Amit Mishra taking two for 22 in his four overs. India surpassed the modest target with nine deliveries to spare as Shikhar Dhawan slammed a 28-ball 30 at the top of the order, before Virat Kohli (36 not out) and Suresh Raina (35 not out) sealed the emphatic win.
