India beat WI by 71 runs to clinch T20 series

LUCKNOW, India, Nov 07 (AFP): Skipper Rohit Sharma smashed a record century to help India beat West indies by 71 runs in the second Twenty20 international and clinch the series in Lucknow on Tuesday.
Chasing a mammoth 193 for victory, the tourists faltered after losing their openers early to end on 124-9. India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed and Jasprit Bumrah along with spinner Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
The third T20 is scheduled in Chennai on Sunday.
