India crush UAE in ACC U-19 Asia Cup

A magnificent hundred by openers Devdutt Padikkal and Arjun Rawat followed by Siddharth Desai's six-wicket haul saw India second successive victory in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup crushing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 227 runs in their second group A encounter held on Sunday at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) ground in Savar, reports BSS.
The two Indian openers gave their team to a flying start contributing 205 runs for the opening stand after India skipper Pawan Shah opted to bat first on the placid wicket.
Padikkal scored a magnificent 121 runs off 115-ball laced with 15 boundaries and two over- boundaries while Rawat supported him with a superb 102 runs off 115-ball that studded with 10 boundaries and five over boundaries.
