India informs BD of Nur arrest

India has officially informed Bangladesh about the arrest of Nur Hossain, the prime suspect of Narayanganj multiple murders, the minister of state for home says.
"They (India) have given us the information in a note verbale," Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told reporters on Wednesday, report agencies.
Nur Hossain was arrested with two accomplices from an apartment in Kolkata on Saturday.
The absconding Narayanganj councillor, prime accused in seven murders case, has been booked under Arms Act and Foreigners Act for illegal trespass into Indian territory without valid travel documents and for illegal possession of a weapon.
The state minister said New Delhi sought more information about Nur Hossain and the government was collecting the information.
Asked what information India sought about Nur Hossain, Asaduzzaman Khan said, "I don't know exactly about the information yet, but necessary steps will be taken following the note verbale."
Another report adds: After his two colleagues confessed to the abduction and killing of seven people in Narayanganj, former RAB-11 commander Tarek Sayeed Mohammad has also reportedly admitted to his role in the crimes.
Tarek Sayeed issued a confessional statement in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Mohiuddin in the port city on Wednesday, Narayanganj District Lawyers' Association President Sakhawat Hossain said.
Tarek Sayeed is the son-in-law of Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya.
Earlier this month, former officers of the Narayanganj-based elite force Arif Hossain and MM Rana also gave their confessional statements in the same court.
