India records only 4,043 new cases of Covid

NEW DELHI, Sept 20 (Xinhua): India's daily COVID-19 caseload on Tuesday decreased to 4,043, officials said.
According to federal health ministry data, 4,043 new cases of COVID-19 were reported during the past 24 hours, taking the country's total tally to 44,543,089.
The cases reported on Tuesday marked a decrease in comparison to the daily caseload of 4,858 on Monday. With the reporting of fresh cases, India's active caseload currently stands at 47,379. The country also logged 15 related deaths during the past 24 hours, pushing the overall death toll to 528,370 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
With the increase in cases, the daily positivity rate stands at 1.37 percent and the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.81 percent, the ministry data showed.
