India, SL teams arrive today

A 16-member Indian cricket team, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, arrives in the city today (Saturday) to participate in the two-match Test series against host Bangladesh and a tri-nation tournament involving Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, reports UNB.
During the 27-day trip, India will open their tri-nation tournament campaign against Sri Lanka on January 5 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS) and play their 2nd match against Bangladesh on Jan 7 at the same venue.
The tourists will play the 3rd match against Sri Lanka on Jan 10 and the 4th and last match against Bangladesh on Jan 11, both at the same venue.
The final match of the tri series tournament is billed for January 13.
After the tri-nation meet, India will play the 1st Test against Bangladesh on Jan 17-21 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and the 2nd Test on Jan 24-28 at SBNS.
Meanwhile, a 15-member Sri Lankan team, led by wicket keeper Kumar Sangakkara, also arrives in the city today (Saturday) at 7:40 pm to take part in the tri-nation One Day International (ODI) Tournament involving host Bangladesh and India to be held January 4 to January 13 at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS) in the city.
During the tri-series, Sri Lanka will play the opening match against Bangladesh on January 4 (Monday), their 2nd match against India on January 5, 3rd match against Bangladesh on Jan 8 and against India on Jan 10.

Sri Lanka squad: Kumar Sangakkara (captain & WK), Tillakaratne Dilshan (vice-captain), Upul Tharanga, Thilan Samaraweera, Thilina Kandamby, Chamara Silva, Lahiru Thirimanne, Thissara Perera, Muthumudalige Pushpakumara, Malinga Bandara, Suraj Randiv, Thilan Thushara, Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Kulasekara and Chanaka Welagedera.
