India to provide Tipaimukh info today

India will provide details of the development on their cross-border Tipaimukh Dam today (Monday) as the foreign office sought explanations of India's National Hydropower Corporation (NHPC) statement, a foreign ministry press release said Sunday, reports BSS. "This is to inform you that we have seen the Press Release of NHPC (National Hydropower Corporation) of India dated 24 October, 2011 (on the Tipaimukh Dam)," the press release said. It said the Indian External Affairs Ministry referred to earlier assurances "at the highest level in this regard" as the foreign office was in touch with New Delhi. "Senior officials at the EAM (Indian External Affairs Ministry) informed that they would be able to provide further details on the issue once offices open on Monday," the press release read.
