India yet to return bodies of 3 BD nationals

HABIGANJ: A battalion commander-level flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was held Wednesday at the no-man’s land along Balla frontier in Chunarughat upazila over returning the bodies of three Bangladeshis who were beaten to death by Indian civilians in Tripura.
Commanding officer of BGB Srimangal 46 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Nasir Uddin led the BGB delegation to the meeting while Colonel AK Bidhatri the BSF team.
During the meeting, the BGB handed over several documents relating to the three Bangladeshis to the BSF.
Amulya Kumar Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Chunarughat Police Station, said the BSF team did not return the bodies as some formalities are yet to be completed in this regard.
Three Bangladeshi nationals were beaten to death by Indian civilians in the Khowai town of Indian Tripura state, close to Balla border in Chunarughat upazila of the district early Tuesday, according to a news agency.
