Indian bidi worth Tk0.33m seized in Sylhet

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in a drive seized 0.21 million pieces of Indian bidi of ‘Nasir Group’ and an engine-run boat at Asam Para village in Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet on Thursday. Acting on secret information, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area and seized the Indian bidi worth Tk0.33 million and an engine-run boat from a water body in the early hours of Thursday. However, none was arrested in this connection as the smugglers managed to flee away sensing the presence of the border guards, according to a news agency.
