Indian cabinet approves BD MoU on trafficking

The cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh on the prevention of human trafficking and speedy prosecution. "The union cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for signing of an MoU on prevention of human trafficking especially trafficking in women and children: rescue, recovery, repatriation and reintegration of victims of human trafficking," an official statement issued from New Delhi on Saturday said. The cabinet also approved an agreement on coastal shipping between India and Bangladesh. — IANS
