Indian cattle trader shot dead by BSF

NAOGAON, Nov 06 (UNB): An Indian cattle trader was gunned down by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Adatala border in Sapahar upazila early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Ashraful Islam,38, son of Yusuf Ali, a resident of Koromdanga village under Tapon thana of Dakkhin Dinajpur district of India.
Lieutenant Colonel Rafiq, commanding officer of Naogaon Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-14, said a BSF patrol team of Chhatrahati camp opened fire on a group of Indian cattle traders, including Ashraful near the pillar no-245, in the bordering area while he along with others was entering Bangladesh with cattle from India through the border point about 4:00 am, leaving Ashraful dead on the spot.
Later, the body of Ashraful was taken to the BSF camp.
