Indian co to invest $5.862m in Karnaphuli EPZ

An Indian company is going to set up a knit garments manufacturing industry in the Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
M/s White House Clothing BD (Pvt) Limited, a 100 per cent Indian company, will invest US$5.862 million in the project.
In this connection, an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and the M/s White House Clothing BD (Pvt) Limited in the city recently, said a press release.
Member (Engineering) of the BEPZA Md Farhad Uddin and Head (Project) of the M/s White House Clothing D Suresh Kumar signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 1203 persons including 24 foreign nationals.
