Indian company to increase investment in Malaysia

HANOI, Nov 24: The Indian business software company, Focus Software Limited, is to invest RM30 million (over US$8.0 million) over the next three years to strengthen its operations in Malaysia and for forays into other Asean countries, as well as the Far East, according to Internet.
Bernama news agency quoted the company's chairman, Hasnain Ali Khan, as saying recently that the company expects to increase revenue contribution to the group from Malaysia and Singapore to more than RM20 million over the next three years, up from the current figure of RM4.50 million, by entering into new markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Hong Kong.
Focus Software posted revenues of RM40 million last year, he said, adding that the Middle East contributed about RM25 million while RM4.5 million came from Malaysia and Singapore and the remainder from India.
