Indian council to discuss energy efficiency mission

NEW DELHI, Aug 24 (PTI): After setting a target of generating 20,000 MW solar power by 2020 under the Solar Mission, the Prime Minister's Council on Climate Change will take up the National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency (NMEEE) at its meeting today.
The NMEEE, one of the eight national missions under the National Action Plan on Climate Change, seeks to enhance energy efficiency, in addition to the programmes on the field.
