Indian FM arrives today

Indian external affairs minister S Jaishankar arrives in Dhaka today (Thursday).
He is scheduled to hit the city by a special flight of the Indian Air Force.
According to officials, Mr Jaishankar will hand over an invitation letter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his Bangladesh counter Sheikh Hasina to visit Delhi.
"The minister's visit may be seen in the context of frequent bilateral high-level visits and exchanges, particularly as both sides commemorate 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties."
The Indian external affairs ministry said this in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Jaishangkar visited Dhaka last in March 2021.
Commenting on his visit, Bangladesh foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen says the Indian foreign minister will carry a special message for Bangladesh.
After landing in Dhaka, Mr Jaishangkar will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said an official, adding that the timing of the meeting was yet to be finalised.
Later, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Dr Momen at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
The meeting will be followed by a press briefing and an iftar party to be hosted by Dr Momen.
Mr Jaishangkar is scheduled to fly to Bhutan after his Dhaka visit.
