Indian HC calls on Dy Speaker

Indian High Commissioner Pinak Ranjan Chakraborty Thursday called on Deputy Speaker Col (retd) Shaukat Ali at the latter's office and discussed various issues of bilateral interest of Bangladesh and India, reports UNB.
During the meeting, the Deputy Speaker termed India as a friend of Bangladesh and said: "Indian assistance for Bangladesh's socioeconomic and infrastructural development is contributing significantly to the improvement of standard of living of people".
Shaukat Ali requested the High Commissioner to take initiative so that the assistance and help are increased further in the future.
