The High Commission of India Tuesday categorically rejected some local media reports that its officials were involved in the recent student unrest in Bangladesh, reports UNB.
In a press release Tuesday, the High Commission said they were greatly "disappointed" to see several news reports in Bangladesh media recently, alluding that officials of the high commission were involved in recent student unrest.
The Indian mission dismissed such media reports as "baseless, malicious, motivat ed and absolutely untrue".
"It finds the publication of such provocative media reports to be highly regrettable," says the High Commission release.
"Such reports are not in the interest of development of friendly relations between India and Bangladesh," it added.
