Indian health minister due tomorrow

India's health and family welfare minister Dr Harsh Vardhan arrives in Dhaka Monday afternoon on a 5-day visit to Bangladesh. The Indian minister will attend a health ministers’ meeting to be held here under the aegis of the World Health Organisation (WHO). His visit also aims at enhancing bilateral cooperation between India and Bangladesh on health sector cooperation. He is coming with a strong delegation which will participate in the 32nd meeting of the Health Ministers of WHO South-East Asia Region and 67th Session of WHO Regional Conference. During his visit, he Harsh Vardhan will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and will also hold discussions with his Bangladesh counterpart Mohammed Nasim on furthering bilateral health sector cooperation. Health Secretary Lov Verma, Secretary of Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) Nilanjan Sanyal, Director General (Health Services) Jagdish Prasad and Director General, Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Dr Abhimanyu Kumar will accompany him, according to a news agency.
