Indian hockey team in city to play 3-match series against BD

A youthful Indian hockey team arrived in Dhaka Tuesday to play a three-match series against Bangladesh hockey team beginning today (Wednesday) at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Pratishthan (BKSP) in Savar, reports UNB.
The first of the three-match series will begin at 4:00 pm. The remaining two matches will be held on August 8 and 9 at the same venue.
Addressing a press conference Tuesday ahead of the three-match series, coach of the Indian Hockey team Tushar Khandker said: "Bangladesh is a good team. So, the matches will be keenly contested. India is ahead in ranking… Bangladesh will benefit from the series."
Indian skipper Vickramkanta said: "We brought here a youthful team and our target is to prepare them for the ensuing Asian Games Hockey."
Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) invited the Indian hockey team to tour Bangladesh as part of their preparation for the next month's World Hockey League in Dhaka and as well as for the Asian Games Hockey in the South Korean city of Incheon from September 19 to October 4.
