Indian police kill six Maoists

PATNA, Feb 27: Indian security forces killed six suspected Maoist guerrillas in a gunfight in the eastern state of Bihar during a search of forests used as a rebel hide-out, police said Sunday. The clash marked the latest violence in an escalating fight between security forces and the Maoists, who are active across a swathe of northern and eastern India. - AFP.
