Indian prisoner dies in Jessore Gen Hospital

JESSORE, Sept 06: An Indian national died of heart attack in Jessore General Hospital Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam (50) of Kaliganj police station in Nadia district of West Bengal, India.
Partha Gopal Banik, deputy inspector general of police, prison, told journalists that Rafiqul Islam was jailed for a month by a court for illegally entering Bangladesh.
He was in Meherpur district jail and was taken to Jessore as the tenure was over. He would have been freed within a few days. He felt pain in the chest Saturday night and was admitted to Jessore General Hospital where he died.
