Indian rupees worth Tk 60m seized at Shahjalal

Customs Intelligence officials seized a large amount of Indian currency from a flight of Qatar Airways at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in the city on Sunday morning. Being tipped-off, a Customs Intelligence team at the airport seized five medicine cartons containing Indian currency around 10:30am from the flight. The value of the seized Indian rupees in local currency will be more than Tk 60 million, Air Customs intelligence sources said, according to a news agency.
