Indian team meets foreign secy, BNP leaders

A four-member Indian delegation, now in Dhaka on a three-day visit, on Tuesday held separate meetings with the foreign secretary and senior BNP leaders and discussed issues related to mutual interests. Sripriya Ranganathan, now in-charge of BM (Bangladesh and Myanmar) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India, is leading the delegation who arrived in Dhaka on Sunday. The Indian team members met Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque at his office in the afternoon, said an official at the foreign ministry. In the evening, the visiting Indian delegation held a meeting with BNP chairperson’s advisers Sabihuddin Ahmed and Reaz Rahman at the BNP chief’s Gulshan political office, according to a news agency.
