NEW DELHI, Oct 7 (Xinhua): India's highest court has issued a notice to pharmaceutical company Cadila Healthcare Limited over a state government complaint that it was supplying drugs unfit for consumption, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported Sunday.
India's Rajasthan government has challenged in the supreme court a lower court ruling that quashed criminal proceedings against the company.
Rajasthan's high court has ignored the report of the drug analyst, the PTI quoted a state government counsel as saying.
The report, the counsel said, confirmed that the contents of a compound in the drug was only 61.25 per cent which the lawyer argued was "dangerous to life of human beings".
